Chill Out Zone

Chill Out Zone, or COZ as it’s is known by its members, is Mayfield Salisbury’s community for young people aged between 9 and 13 years old.  Meeting on a Saturday night for activities ranging from outdoor games to messy mask making and percussion workshops our young people can find a relaxed and welcoming space to further friendships and have fun together .  Each evening ends with a time spent munching on pizza and reflecting on the evening past and the week to come.

With many of Mayfield Salisbury ‘s young people attending different schools, Chill Out Zone can be an important space for our members to tell stories, exchange gossip and maintain relationships.  It is also an incredibly welcoming group with new members always greeted with open arms.  Many of our young people regularly bring friends with them to COZ knowing full well that their acquaintances will be welcomed and included by both the young people and the staff.
