In my favourite TV quiz show, Richard Osman’s House of Games, one of the regular rounds for the celebrity contestants is called High Brow, Low Brow. The answer is the same to a ‘high brow’ and a ‘low brow’ question, with two points if you get the answer from the first ‘high brow’ question and one point can’t answer it then, but can do so with the ‘low brow’ alternative. Whether you get the answer ‘Piggy’ from a character in Lord of the Flies or in The Muppets, you will still get some reward! As we approach Christmas, there are plenty of ‘high brow’ and ‘low brow’ options on how to celebrate.
