I don’t know whether I would pick as the highlight the ruins of the vast Greek and Roman city of Ephesus; reading the letter to the church at Laodicea on the stage of the Greek amphitheatre there; visiting what are said to be the tombs of the apostles Philip and John; or the camaraderie between fellow staff and Church of Scotland ministry candidates culminating in a deeply moving communion service in semi-darkness in the back of a stationary bus!; or it could just be the food and the many....
