Prestonfield Church can trace its roots back to November 1898 whne Revd Buchanan began church extension work in Liberton parish. A church building was opened at Cameron Toll in 1902 to a design by McGibbon and Ross.
The church was disjoined from Liberton in 1908 as a parish in its own right. The church owned a mission hall in Prestonfield housing scheme.
Prestonfield Church united with Rosehall Church in 1974 at which point the Prestonfield Church was sold and demolished. The site is now occupied by sheltered housing. The church gate posts are still in place.
