3. GIFT SERVICES Today is Advent Sunday when our Annual Gift Services
take place. Thank you to all those who have already donated and to those
of you bringing items along this morning. The need is huge, and our
recipients are always grateful for the efforts made. If you've forgotten to
bring your donation along this morning, please feel free to give me a ring.

4. MUSICAL CONCERT FOR ADVENT ON 11 DECEMBER Our Choir and
Chamber Group will present a concert of Advent and Christmas music on
Sunday 11 December at 7.30pm at Mayfield Salisbury. The Choir and
Chamber Group will be augmented with further singers from Mayfield
Salisbury, Priestfield and Craigmillar Park and accompanied by our organist
and a string quartet. Admission is free and all are welcome, so please do
come along on the night for a musical celebration in Advent .

 

5. YOUTH GROUP Youth Group Sunday 4 December: We will be having our annual Amnesty
Write for Rights night, as well as decorating the Youth Room for Christmas!
P6-S1 from 6:15-7:15pm, and S2-S6 from 7:15-8:30pm in the Youth Room.

 

 

6. TRAIDCRAFT STALL TODAY! In addition to the usual products there are
Christmas Cards,gifts, cake, chocolate, Advent calendars and even some
chocolate Angels!

 

 

7. CELEBRATORY SERVICE FOR BOB MAIDEN – our good friend Bob, husband
of Pamela Molyneaux, passed away a few weeks ago. A
celebratory, thanksgiving service for his life will be held at Bob’s home
church, Colinton Parish Church, on Saturday 10 December at 2.30pm,
followed by refreshments. Pamela would like to extend an open invitation
to friends from Mayfield Salisbury to be there – you’d be very welcome.
Please wear bright colours.

 

 

8. MIDWEEK PRAYERS You are most welcome to attend a time of
peace, prayer and reflection in the church sanctuary, this Tuesday at 10.00am.

 

 

9. SERVICES NEXT WEEK - IMPORTANT! A reminder that next week, on
Sunday 4 December, the morning service will be held at Craigmillar Park
when we will also be joining our friends from Priestfield congregation. The
service will be at 10:30 and communion will be celebrated. If you are able
to, please support this service. We return to Mayfield Salisbury on Sunday
11 December at 9.30am and 10.45am.

 

 

10. ANNUAL LEAVE The Minister, Revd Dr Sandy Foryth, will be on annual
leave from 28 November to 5 December inclusive. The Church Manager,
William Mearns, will also be on annual leave during these dates.

 

 

11. PARISH CHRISTMAS LEAFLET – Now Ready! Are you able to assist with
the distribution of the parish Christmas leaflet? It contains information
regarding our forthcoming Christmas services and will be put through
every door in the parish area (street lists are available to avoid
duplication).. If you can help, please collect a street list and some cards
from the entrance vestibule. Your help is greatly appreciated! William Mearns

 

 

12. PASTORAL CARE If you would like to have a regular home visit or
telephone call from one of our pastoral care team, please contact me and I
will arrange that for you. If you would like to be held in prayer, or would
like us to pray for someone you know, please make your request to Kay. If
you would like to participate in our confidential prayer chain praying for
these requests, please get in touch; prayer chain emails are sent out once a
