Welcome to this Service of Worship from Mayfield Salisbury Parish Church
Fourth Sunday after Pentecost - 3 July 2022 at 10.30am
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile
the world goes on. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean
blue air, are heading home again. Whowever you are, no matter
how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to
you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting over and over
announcing your place in the family of things.
From Mary Oliver's poem 'Wild Geese'

Call to Worship
From Psalm 30
Sing praises to the Lord, O you his faithful ones
And give thanks to his holy name
For his anger is but for a moment,
His favour is for a lifetime.
Weeping may linger for the night,
But Joy comes with the morning.
Hymn 360 Jesus Christ is Waiting
(t. Noel Nouvelet)
Prayer of Approach, Confession and The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us
our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is
the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you,

May He guide you through the wilderness,
protect you through the storm.
May He bring you home rejoicing

UKRAINE It is difficult to remind ourselves as we enjoy time outside
(albeit recently under grey skies) in the eastern part of Ukraine there is no
peace as shells rain down indiscriminately on people, buildings and fields.
The current avenues by which help can be given to support Ukraine, from
hosting a refugee family to prayer, can be found on our website:
www.mayfieldsalisbury.org/index.php/gallery/ukraine Please also
remember those in other parts of the world who face conflict and suffering.
